Our Mission and Plans for 2023
To be a successful and highly beneficial organization, it’s essential to define your mission.
We’ve always known what it takes to be a successful center and bring benefits and joy to our participants. For us, family values and the uniqueness of each person are crucial. Therefore, we aspire to create a warm, inviting place where our visitors feel at home, and where children can develop and grow, becoming the reliable future of Dnipro’s Jewish community. That’s why we’ve established a center where young people gather in a comfortable environment, developing their talents, leadership qualities, and acquiring valuable skills. The adult audience has it’s own club, participating in vibrant and engaging events enriched with Jewish traditions and culture.
On February 24, 2022, a new direction became the focal point of our development – we did everything possible to support and save as many people as possible affected by the war. We revised our goals and added another principle to our activities: the principle of unity. Thanks to our country’s unity, we have been making extraordinary efforts for the past year and a half to defeat the terrible evil that has befallen our land.
Now, the main principles of our center are unity, family, and uniqueness.
Unity
All people in Ukraine are in danger. The enemy doesn’t care whether we are Ukrainians or Jews; their aim is to destroy us and subjugate us. The Jewish people, throughout their long history, know well what this means and where it leads. So, in this challenging time for our country, when the enemy
Family
Family values are of utmost importance to the Jewish people. That’s why we do everything to ensure a family atmosphere is felt throughout our activities. We believe that family and faith are the best ways to overcome all the difficulties and challenges that people face. Creating a homely atmosphere is a priority for us, so that all our visitors feel comfort and support.
Uniqueness
For the majority of the Jewish population in our city who do not adhere to religious beliefs, we remain the only place that allows them to feel a connection to Judaism without obligations. Our uniqueness lies in providing a wide range of services for people aged 0 to 60. We are a multifaceted platform for the entire family. This position allows us to unite Jewish families under one roof, giving them the opportunity to feel connected to Jewish traditions and culture.
Heart and Soul
No organism can function without a heart and live without a soul. Similarly, no worthwhile project can be realized without the heart of the organization – its team, and the work will not be genuine and sincere without the soul invested in it.
Team
The heart of our organization is the team, which lives by the values and ideals of the center, is unafraid of challenges, ready to come to the aid at any moment, and works every day to create new exciting events.
Jewish Values
The soul of our center is Jewish self-identification, or Jewish values, which is more than just belonging to a nationality. It’s the cornerstone of our organization and fills the entire center with meaning.
This is what attracts “Solomonika” visitors, who share our values and consider them
fundamental for themselves and their children.
